At SugarSnap by Jen Strode, I do not believe in one-size-fits-all setups. Each session is thoughtfully designed around your family’s vision, favorite themes, colors, and meaningful details. Whether you dream of something soft and timeless, whimsical and playful, or completely custom, I love bringing those ideas to life.

Sometimes families come to me with a theme that is difficult to find in stores or simply doesn’t exist the way they imagine it. That’s where creativity comes in. If I cannot find the perfect piece for your session, I will often make it myself. From handcrafted newborn props to one-of-a-kind themed setups, I truly enjoy creating custom pieces that make your session unlike anyone else’s. Baby Waylon's grandpa passed away before they had a chance to meet.  The lion has some special connection for the family.  Since, I did not have a lion outfit.  I made one for their session.  Well, I actually made two because the first one looked more like a kitty cat than a lion.

Waylon's nursery is a Winnie the Pooh theme.  With no time to order an outfit, I improvised with the wraps that I had.  I also made a little honey pot for the set-up. These custom touches help transform a photography session into an experience filled with personality and meaning.

Creating custom setups also allows families to celebrate the things they love most — favorite storybooks, nursery themes, hobbies, family traditions, or sentimental ideas they want reflected in their portraits. Those details are what make your images truly special and memorable.
